I conducted user interviews on targeted users to understand how they navigate through the current Department of Energy website.
“Navigation is inconsistent.”
“It is simple but over-whelming.”

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Any citizen who is curious about the united states current use of energy need an organized website to learn about updated news and current scientific information regarding their needs.
How can we make the website more visually appealing?
1. Clean:
- Utilize negative space
- Update typography
- Remove unnecessary information
2. Organized:
- Create consistent navigation
- Establish hierarchy
- Create new sitemap
3. Inviting:
- Utilize iconography
- Incorporate animation
- Improve interaction
